"I'm going to pursue the mystery of the Blade Children. Until then, I will not return.." These were the very last words that Kiyotaka Narumi said before he left his family, in search of the mystery of the Blade Children. Ever since then, his younger brother, Ayumu Narumi has followed Kiyotaka's footsteps and plans to pursue this mystery himself. What are the Blade Children? Why were they born? What was their purpose? Little Ayumu Narumi might be the Blade Children's only salvation to prevent them from facing their deadly fate.
Ayumu Narumi: The younger brother of Kiyotaka Narumi. Ayumu always wanted to be just like his older brother, who was like a world prodegy! However, his life changed when his brother left the family, dissapeared without a trace.. and in search of the Blade Children. Now, Ayumu follows his brother's footsteps once more, but to pursue the mystery of the Blade Children on his own.
Hiyono Yuizaki: A very bubbly girl who's the head editor of the Tsukiomi Academy newspaper. She's up-to-date and ready with her diary full of important data on people's backgrounds and more. Hiyono has become intrigued by Ayumu's intelligence eversince the day when one of the Blade Children was attacked. She vows to Ayumu that she will bring him to justice or redeem of his good name.
Eyes Rutherford: A popular skyrocketing pianist but also one of the Blade Children. Though, behind those brilliant recitals and piano playing skills, Eyes has a dark secret which could end up carrying him to his own grave... A curse which makes him in desparate need for salvation.
Kousuke Asazuki: Even though he may be stubborn, Kousuke is another one of the Blade Children. He enjoys having fun with other people and can be like any other normal anime character with weird hair. However, what's fun and games for him can lead up to pain, suffer, and any death to other people.
Rio Takeuchi: The shortest of the Blade Children. Despite her cute exterior, looks, she is the most deadliest of all the other Blade Children. When her victims drop their guard, it's usually to late for them.
Sayoko Shiranagatani: One of the first Blade Children that appears in the series. She is very much different from the rest though. Sayoko suffered through amnesia and cannot remember her past but fears that she herself, might be one of the Blade Children (though she is). Unlike the rest, Sayoko just wants to live a normal life of happiness.
Ryoko Takamachi: The most athletic of the Blase Children. Ryoko does not intend to kill any of her victims but rather chooses to be killed instead. Life ahead of her leads her to a future with no goals. All Ryoko can think.. is that the Blade Children's future.. is death..
Kanone Hilbert: A very enigmatic person out of the Blade Children. Kanone used to be a mentor for Eyes when they were younger. Behind the innocent look in his eyes, there are feelings he has about the Blade Children and of people who want to erase them from existence. Kanone has a lot of knowledge on Kiyotaka Narumi so maybe it could be him, and not Ayumu, who could discover Kiyotaka's existence.
Madoka Narumi: Ayumu's sister in law. Madoka has been married to Kiyotaka for less than a year and just from hearing about his existence shatters her heart painfully. She is an inspector from a local police department and uses her tracking skills on finding Kiyotaka's dissapearance.
Commisioner Kanzaka: The head cheif of the police department Madoka works in. He is against the Blade Children and no matter what their reasons are for living, he'll do what he can to destroy every last one of them. He is also known as the leader of the "Hunters".

Spiral was like an absolute God of anime! Every episode was like WOW and brought a lot of gasp upon me. I even got my friends hooked to watching it! Every chapter in the manga brought shock and suspense. My whole body actually trembeled, wanting to know more still. Spiral, is one of the best series out there! Definetly deserves a perfect score!
